This policy is guided by the General Privacy Principles contained in the Data Protection Act, 2011 of Trinidad and Tobago and other applicable legal, professional and regulatory requirements.

  1. Information We May Collect

When you use My YGYP, we may process your account details, sign-in status, goals, plans, progress, service requests, documents and information displayed or submitted through the portal.

We may automatically collect information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, pages visited, approximate location, date and time of access and interactions with the website.

Cookies and similar technologies may also be used as explained below.

Information submitted through a planning tool or questionnaire does not automatically create an advisory or contractual relationship. Recommendations depend on an appropriate review of your circumstances.

  1. Consent and Your Choices

By voluntarily submitting information, you consent to its collection and use for the purposes explained at the point of collection and in this Privacy Policy.

Where appropriate, we may request additional or specific consent before:

  • Using sensitive personal information.
  • Sharing information with an insurer or other provider.
  • Processing an application or service request.

You may withdraw consent for optional communications at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing already completed or information that must be retained for lawful, regulatory, contractual or legitimate recordkeeping purposes.

  1. Planning Tools and Automated Results

Some YGYP tools produce automated scores, estimates or general guidance based on the information entered.

These results are for educational and preliminary planning purposes. They are not final financial, legal, tax, investment, medical or insurance advice and do not independently determine eligibility, approval, underwriting or contractual outcomes.

A personal review may be required before any recommendation or action is taken.

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

We may share information only when reasonably necessary with:

  • Tennille Alonzo and authorised persons supporting YGYP operations.

Information submitted in connection with an insurer’s product, application or client service may also be governed by that insurer’s privacy notices, consent forms and recordkeeping requirements.

  1. ProductionFlow and My YGYP

ProductionFlow is used as a business-management and follow-up system. Information submitted through certain YGYP forms may be sent to ProductionFlow so that your enquiry can be recorded, reviewed and followed up.

My YGYP is the client-facing portal used to help clients view selected goals, plans, progress, resources and service options.

Only information considered relevant to the intended service should be shared between these systems. Access is restricted according to account permissions and operational requirements.

You are responsible for protecting your sign-in credentials and should notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

  • Keep the website functioning properly.
  • Remember preferences and settings.
  • understand how visitors use the website.
  • Measure traffic, performance and engagement.
  • Detect errors, abuse or security threats.
  • Support embedded content or third-party features.

Current website services may include Google Analytics or Google Tag services, Jetpack and WordPress-related functionality. These providers may process technical information according to their own privacy policies.

You can restrict or delete cookies using your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect how parts of the website function.

Where consent is legally required for non-essential cookies, those cookies should only be activated after the appropriate choice has been made.

  1. External Links and Embedded Services

The website may link to or display content from third-party services such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, appointment platforms, insurers and other resource providers.

When you follow an external link or interact with embedded content, the third party may collect information under its own privacy policy. YGYP does not control the privacy practices of external websites or platforms.

  1. International Processing and Storage

Some hosting, email, analytics, security, communication and technology providers may process or store information outside Trinidad and Tobago.

Where personal information is transferred or processed internationally, we take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. However, the privacy laws of another country may differ from those of Trinidad and Tobago.

Retention periods may differ according to the type of information and the nature of the relationship. Information that is no longer required will be deleted, anonymised or securely disposed of where reasonably practicable.

  1. Information Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

These measures may include account controls, restricted access, secure hosting, software updates, backups and protected systems.

No internet transmission or electronic-storage system is completely secure. You should avoid sending sensitive documents through ordinary email or unapproved communication channels.

  1. Email and Marketing Communications

We may send service-related messages concerning an enquiry, appointment, account, requested resource or existing client relationship.

Marketing or educational communications will be sent where you have consented or where otherwise permitted. You may unsubscribe using the link provided in an email or by contacting us.

Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent essential account, appointment, transaction or client-service communications.

  1. Children and Young People

The website is primarily intended for adults.

A person under 18 should not submit sensitive personal or financial information without the knowledge and consent of a parent or legal guardian. If we learn that information was submitted by a minor without appropriate authorisation, we will take reasonable steps to review and remove it where appropriate.

  1. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our website, tools, integrations, services or legal obligations change.
